Onboarding

We don't drop the keys and leave.

$500 one-time · 4–6 hours of guided setup over 2–3 weeks.

Someone who knows the trade sets Ledgant up with you, trains your office manager and your foremen on a real job, and drafts your first pay app alongside you. We do this for every account — it's the difference between software that's installed and software your crew actually uses by the end of the month.

Running on it

The weeks that decide if it sticks.

Most software fails because nobody sets it up right. We get on Zoom and set it up with you.

Week 1 · Session 1 · ~90 min

Discovery & configuration

We get on Zoom with the owner and your office manager and learn the business — jobs, GCs, suppliers, equipment, how you bid, how you bill. Then we set it all up.

What we set up
  • Your cost code structure (migrated from QuickBooks if you have one)
  • Suppliers, with the materials and units they quote in
  • Equipment list with rental rates and ownership cost
  • Prevailing wage rates for the states and counties you work in
  • QuickBooks Online sync — connected, mapped, tested
Week 1 · Session 2 · ~75 min

Office-manager training — on your data

We walk your office manager through the work of the month — log a ticket, draft an invoice, run a change order, draft a pay app (and certified payroll on Pro) — on a real job, with your data.

They leave able to
  • Draft a pay app from scratch and review the schedule of values (SOV)
  • Run a change order through to the GC
  • Process a receipt from a phone into QuickBooks
  • Pull AR/AP without opening Excel
Week 2 · Session 3 · ~60 min · on a jobsite

Foreman training — on a real job

We get on Zoom with your foreman during a shift. They log a real ticket, fill a real daily log, clock the crew. We don't leave until it feels normal.

They leave able to
  • Log a ticket by voice in under 10 seconds
  • Fill out a daily log without typing
  • Clock the crew in and out
  • Move equipment between jobs
Week 2–3 · Session 4 · ~60 min

Your first pay app — done together

We draft your first pay app together — G702/G703, on a real job, with your real retainage. You send it. On Pro, we do the first certified payroll together too.

Weeks 3–6 · Check-ins

Weekly check-ins through the first month

A 30-minute slot each week for the first month. If something isn't working yet, we fix it together. By day 45, the workflow runs without us on the call.

What the $500 covers.

$500
One-time fee

Billed once, at kickoff. It covers the whole setup — configuration, training, your first pay app, and four weeks of check-ins.

Every Ledgant account starts with onboarding — so you're set up by someone who knows the trade, not left alone with a login.

Day 45 — what good looks like

By day 45, this is what running on it looks like.

These are the goals we set your onboarding up to hit. If you're not running smoothly by day 45, we're not done — we stay on it with you.

Your foreman logs tickets by voice, daily — without being asked.

Quantities roll up to the job. The office stops chasing paper.

Your office manager's Monday starts in Ledgant, not Excel.

Opens it first, gets the briefing, knows what's on for the week.

QuickBooks sync works, and your bookkeeper trusts the numbers.

No re-keying, no exports, no "does this match what you have?"

Your first Ledgant pay app is accepted by the GC.

G702/G703, retainage applied, no Monday-night marathon.

The whole company runs through one place.

Tickets, logs, receipts, schedule, equipment, change orders, billing, books.

On Pro: your first certified payroll filed without panic.

Multi-state certified payroll, prevailing wage, audit trail intact, on time.

Get in, and we'll set it up right.

Leave your email and we'll reach out with timing and next steps. Onboarding is the first thing we book.
